I cannot tell you how many people have said to Brian and I "You’re doing a blog? You should check out the Codfather” And they’re right. It's a unique and blog worthy spot and there isn’t really anything like it in the area. The Codfather is an English styled fish and chips pub located in North Charleston. I didn’t get a close enough look at the menu to see if they only serve fish and chips but looking around the restaurant I’m pretty sure they only serve fish and chips. I had a half order and Brian had a full one with some interesting curry gravy. The fish was perfectly cooked and I forgot how much I like that basic meal. I had white wine and Brian had some English beer that was on Tap. For an extra bit of authenticity we even ran into one of his clients who is from London. I was truly impressed by the speed of which he downed his pint. Half the restaurant is seated tables and the other half is a pub style. There is also a pretty large outdoor seating area that we’ll have to check out next time. There was a ton of parking and seemed to be a long takeout line as well. We went on a Friday night during lent so I’ve been trying to think of puns for a good 7 minutes while I’ve been writing this and all I’ve come up with is “ In the name of the Codfather” so good thing this isn’t a source of income for me.
